In fact, the development in the historical center has not changed so much - the changes have affected for the most part those areas that are adjacent to the Garden Ring, well, and numerous new areas. And so, in general, the city has become brighter and more diverse.
The Belorussky railway station (the one in the first frame) - I think that outwardly it has not changed at all, except for some scoreboards and signage. So it's possible that this is how you saw it.
