Solar cookers I have heard of but never a solar furmace, how fascinating. I wonder why there aren't more in this age of requiring more green technologies. The most surprising thing is how old this structure is - 1980s. It was probably much cheaper to build back in the 1980s than it would be now. A great trip to take.
