Приветствую вас в своём бортовом журнале!

Так уж оно пошло, что основной, преобладающей темой этого журнала стали путешествия, а основным жанром – фотопрогулки по историческим и просто интересным местам. По крайней мере, на момент написания данного поста здесь размещено уже более двухсот фотоотчётов о поездках.

Свои фотопрогулки я стараюсь сопровождать подробными описаниями, интересными фактами из истории этих мест, ну и, конечно же, рассказами обо всех приключениях, случившихся с нами во время этой поездки/прогулки.

Помимо фотопрогулок мой журнал содержит некоторое количество прозы и статей, созданных на некоммерческой основе для бесплатных интернет-изданий, ну и, конечно же, посты о жизни.

Чтобы упростить навигацию по этой массе информации, я сгруппировал все свои туристические посты по категориям, которые можно увидеть с правой стороны страницы (если не видны – те же ссылки можно найти в этом посте). Все мои путешествия одним списком доступны здесь.

На всякий случай напоминаю, что содержимое данного журнала является объектом авторского права, а потому копирование и публикация любых постов отсюда должны сопровождаться ссылкой на источник. Кстати, если вас заинтересуют мои фотоматериалы – дайте знать, могу предоставить их в интересующем вас размере (все опубликованные здесь картинки уменьшены до размера 720px по большей стороне).

I visited Moscow and surrounding area in 1972 when I was 21. I had a great time :)

Yes, of course!
I first came to Moscow when I was 5 years old, and it made a huge impression on me then. Now I live at half-hour drive from it, and Moscow is a mixture of everything with everything.

Added. We stayed at the Intourist hotel on Gorky Street which i think has been demolished now and they changed the name of the street to Tverskaya Street. I did so much on the trip. We went to a park nearby that housed the Space programme and other museums, and out into the countryside to see small wooden churches with beautiful icons inside. We went to the Moscow state circus, saw Swan Lake at the Bolshoi, visited the Kremlin museums and was awed by the treasures in there and rode on the wonderful underground metro. The best thing was a horse drawn sleigh ride through the woods in the snow. One of my most enjoyable holidays. I expect it's changed in some ways since I was there :)

Aha... This, apparently, was a minimum program for foreigners. In fact, to see all the interesting things that are in Moscow, you need to live in it for several years.

Hah! It's the same everywhere really. There's only so much one can do in a week, I thought we fit a lot in, including shopping and sampling the vodka and meeting locals :)

Agreed. It seems the same for any city sufficiently long-lived. I've lived in Ottawa for 35 years so far, and still haven't managed to see everything I want to look at yet. Not sure that I'll ever manage that!
